Kepler Educational Consulting

Kepler Education has a long history of providing educational consulting and product design. Kepler brings years of experience actually teaching in the classroom, coupled with advanced degrees in education and science, to ensure that the products and services we produce work.

Our guiding motto is "If you aren't having fun, you aren't doing it right!" All of the products we produce are fun and educational, but most of all they are designed from the beginning according to national, state, and local benchmarks and standards. In today's classroom, if the activity doesn't exactly fit within the standards to be taught, the teacher simply doesn't have the time to use it! At Kepler Education we recognize the realities of education today and design products to your specifications. There's just no substitute for real-world classroom experience.

Check out for yourself some of the many products we have designed for other organizations:

  • Marsbound! Mission to the Red Planet: Developed for NASA, this fun and engaging "collectable card game" format activity teaches students the fundamentals of the engineering design process. See why NASA education specialists have called this NASA Exemplary Product "the best educational activity ever created."
  • Mars Student Imaging Project: How would your students like to explore Mars for real? The Mars Student Imaging Project gives them that chance. Students involved in this exciting and motivational program are given the opportunity to develop their own Mars scientific research program and, with the help of NASA mission planners, actually control the Mars Odyssey spacecraft, currently in orbit around Mars. The target site chosen by the students for their project is imaged by the spacecraft and the resulting picture of the Martian surface is sent over one hundred millions miles across space to them from the Red Planet. This phenomenally successful program, appropriate for students of all ability levels, has become the model for all of NASA's educational outreach programs. See what we can do for you!
  • Robotics Education: Every child loves to build robots, but how many of us can afford the expensive materials needed to learn the science of robotics? This set of activities, while it can be used with the expensive high-tech kits, was specifically designed to teach robotics with common, everyday materials such as craft sticks and rubber bands. Learn Newton's Laws, engineering, and basic computer principles using students' inherent fascination with robots.
  • Marsdial: Bill Nye the Science Guy was instrumental in convincing NASA and Cornell University to place the world's first sundial on another planet: Marsdial! We developed these four activities to introduce students to the fascinating ancient, but still useful, art of making and using sundials.

We have created many more activities on topics ranging from weather, to Earth science, to mathematics. We can create activities for any topic, including the social sciences and writing. Count on us to bring this experience and enthusiasm to your project!

In addition to educational product design, we have also performed numerous teacher training workshops and hands-on demos for students of all ages. We have experience presenting at workshops as small as an in-service day for a rural school district in the Southeast to as large as a full day institute at the National Science Teachers' Association conference. We tailor our workshops and presentations to fit your needs.

Need a keynote speaker? Our president has earned a strong reputation as a highly entertaining and motivating speaker on topics ranging from science, to space exploration (manned and unmanned), to education. He is in great demand as a speaker, so be sure to schedule your event early!
